Common Questions

Q. I had water everywhere, but I think I have it all dried up. Do I still need MR. SERVICE, INC.?

A Yes. Water gets into walls and floor cavities, sub flooring and carpet backing.  The water you don't see now will cause rot, mold, mildew, fungus and bacteria later. Unless you have moisture testing devices and sophisticated drying equipment, it will cost you more money to wait in most cases.

Q. We had a minor fire. Several walls are covered with smoke. Can't I just wipe them down?

A. Depending on what burned, you may be doing the walls more harm then good by cleaning them. A fire leaves residues of acids, synthetics, PVC pipe, and wood treatments, along with smoke residue that can pit the metals in your house. It's cheaper to call MR. SERVICE, INC.  to fix the fire damage caused, than to just repaint and cover up the real problem underneath. You need an expert to inspect the scene and let you know what your options are.

Q. We had a major fire. There is water and ash everywhere. Is our furniture ruined?

A. Not necessarily. In many cases, MR. SERVICE, INC. can restore your furniture as long as the smoke and ash were not driven by heat.

Q. Can I just use my regular cleaning or janitorial service for biohazard cleanup of blood or bodily fluids?

A. Not unless your regular cleaning or janitorial service has been properly trained and equipped to handle biohazard cleanup and waste such as blood or bodily fluids, and has a legal place to dispose of the recovered biohazardous waste.
